It was a labour of love for our client Luke as he undertook the daunting task of converting and restoring his new home.

Luke contracted us to design and manufacture a kitchen in keeping with its surroundings; a decommissioned Church in Hobsonville, Auckland. A traditional brief was discussed but I don't want it too pristine Luke explained.

After much consideration a distressed paint finish was decided on.

A base lacquer colour was applied to the cabinetry fronts followed by the white lacquer finish. Once hardened the process of distressing began. Our paint shop painstakingly distressed each piece as Luke and Brendon (of Contrast) looked on.

Such a neat project to be a part of and the final product looks magnificent.
